Combining mediums
I’m pretty sure I came out of the womb with a pencil and paper in my hand; drawing has always been my first love. The more I learned how to use Photoshop and Illustrator, however, I starting finding new ways to combine my love of art with my love of design. I use a ton of different processes to complete a digital illustration, and I’m learning new techniques all the time. A good illustration can really enhance a feature story in particular. Sometimes it’s hard to communicate with a photograph, and a good illustration does the job.
